Founded in 1895, the Michigan Classical Consortium provides support for and fosters community among teachers engaged in promoting the study of classics at the secondary and post-secondary level in the state of Michigan. Originally called the Michigan Classical Conference, the organization changed its name in 2022 to the Michigan Classical Consortium. Members include K-12 teachers and professors of classical languages and studies from across the state of Michigan. MCC hosts an annual meeting in November, which alternates between the western and eastern sides of the state. These meetings allow K-12 teachers and professors of classics to meet and exchange ideas.
